The Financial Management Association is a student-led organization at CSULB’s College of Business. Our mission is to enrich students’ college experience by providing opportunities for students to develop professionally, academically, and socially. FMA primarily does so by giving its members opportunities to interact with finance industry professionals allowing them to build and grow their network at school.

Not at all! FMA WELCOMES ALL MAJORS and anyone who would like to become a part of our network of current students and alumni! We are always more than happy to bring people from different backgrounds to become part of our network.

Non-paid members are more than welcome to attend FMA events. Please keep in mind there may be fees and costs associated with attending our events.

If you ask any of our members they always say the same thing, “You get as much as you put in.” Although meetings are not mandatory, we strongly encourage you participate as much as you can in order to make the most of what we have to offer you as a member.

The CSULB Finance Department Advisory Board (FDAB) is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Finance student population and working with the Chair of the Finance Department on various focus areas. The board has 20 members from various industries such as aerospace, entertainment, real estate, and investment management. FMA has been built with the idea of helping students grow academically, professionally, and socially. For the best experience, become a paid member and attend as many workshops and social events that your schedule allows. Once you understand and embody FMA’s mission and vision, if you would like to get involved as an Executive Board Member or Executive Director, speak to someone on the executive team and ask how you can join in the future!

Our social events do have costs to organize, to supply food and to provide activities. For that reason, all of our social events are pay-to-enter.
